About

Aun Shraideh is a Jordanian artist and designer whose work explores depth, rhythm, and harmony through multi-layered wooden reliefs. Blending handcrafting techniques with modern technology to create sculpted compositions that reveal texture, movement, and quiet presence.
From a young age, Aun was captivated by anything that demanded thought, patience, and careful assembly. He grew up fascinated by complex forms, whether in objects, drawings, or ideas, and was the kind of child who enjoyed building, imagining, and bringing intricate visuals to life with his hands. Drawing was a constant companion, a space where he could translate what lived in his mind into shapes, patterns, and structures.
This early curiosity naturally evolved into a path of Industrial Engineering, followed by a deep dive into 3D design. Even while working in engineering-related jobs, Aun never stepped away from art; every spare minute during and after work was devoted to sketching, imagining, and experimenting with ways to turn ideas into tangible pieces. Design and complexity continued to pull him in, quietly shaping the direction of his craft.
What eventually emerged was a discipline that perfectly blended all the things he loved: the precision of engineering, the imagination of drawing, the patience of craft, and the tools of modern technology. Multi-layered wooden reliefs became his language, a place where he could build depth, hide meaning between the layers, and invite viewers to lose themselves in patterns that feel both intentional and organic.
Aun finds joy in the long, slow process of creating these pieces. He values the patience it demands, the hours of deliberate handwork, and the balance between digital tools and the imperfections of the human touch. Every artwork is revisited, refined, rebuilt, sometimes from zero, until it reaches the level of detail and harmony he seeks. His relationship with craft is one of continuous iteration, curiosity, and an almost obsessive love for intricate details.
Nature is a recurring source of inspiration for him. He is drawn to trees, botanical motifs, and the natural patterns found in leaves, branches, and organic growth. Outside the workshop, Aun’s world is filled with simple pleasures that ground him: long walks, quiet moments with coffee, and observing shapes and rhythms in the world around him.
Through his work, Aun aims to create pieces that do more than decorate a room, they invite the viewer into their depth. He wants people to get lost in the layers, to feel the complexity, and to experience the warmth and humanity of handmade craft. His art carries the intention of making the viewer pause, explore, and feel the harmony between structure and chaos.
Aun’s personality as an artist is shaped by patience, persistence, and an unwavering dedication to detail. He works without boredom, returns to ideas again and again, and embraces the challenge of rebuilding until the piece feels alive. His process remains childlike in spirit, driven by curiosity, wonder, and the simple joy of creating, yet grounded in the discipline and precision of engineering.
For Aun Shraideh, art is both a journey inward and a way to bring presence, warmth, and intricate beauty into the spaces we live in.
